Anyone that came to us from another forum or special (wht for example) please PM with your handle at the other forums , the url of said forums or specials, and your overall experiences good and bad. Also if you have referred any friends or family and when. Too often we run successful ads that produce higher word of mouth signups than the ad itself. This most valuable information is to be used in our affiliate system about to be released.

Im trying to conduct an unofficial survey and marketing materials to provide better services and improved communication.

I came from WHT, from the Offers forum they have over there. I haven't been able to refer anyone though, since I live outside the US and they prefer local support in their language.

So far, it's been a smooth ride.

Well, believe it or not, I found out about JagPC by accidently running across THIS forum during a Google search. I was looking for a web host with an active support forum (ahem, amongst other things) -- which was pretty rare three years ago! I actually found a support forum I liked better, but they weren't accepting new clients -- a victim of their own success! Still, that tells you how effective your own support forum can be...

Anyway, that was the hook for me, Chief, not WHT or whatever!

If it was me, I would setup these forums to display banners to visitors. That's the biggest reason they're here -- to check out the place -- and that would include 'specials' and so forth -- so, why make them hunt for them?

Alternately, I would have it setup to NOT display banners to ppl that are logged in as 'members'. If they took the time to register in these forums, you already got 'em, you know? And, if members want to see the 'specials', all they would have to do is log out...

For me I found about JagPC on WHT. The disk and bandwidth bonus offer advertised that month pretty much leaned me this way and I havn't regretted it yet. I will probably be posting a review there within a few months. I mention JagPC every now and then when someone asks for a place to host their site.

I found JagPC through WHT. Signed up a few days ago. Will probably take me a month to figure this out. I am overwhelmed as I'm totally clueless about vps. Hope those "Murphy days" don't follow me here, or I'll be sunk. Still trying to figure out where to start. Guess DNS would be a good place, but I better do some more reading. (big, big sigh)
