WHM is part of cPanel, which is one of the site control panel options you can pick from when you order that plan.

That's one of the 'problems', if you will, with VPS as implemented here. Look, Mr. Ancient, the fact of the matter is, MOST ppl want freedom FROM choice, not freedom OF choice. I would argue that they would rather let Google Search or the BBB make the choices for them -- or the web host...
When you get a VPS account here, it's like a dog with two bones -- which bone to lick and which one to bury -- that's the choice! And, many ppl, based on these threads, end up chasing their tail, 'cause they're not used to deciding which OS to use, which panel, and so forth, and so on!

Ofcourse they do. you can even buy space on China Servers right now if you so choose. I dont know of any NK or Cuban based web hosts right off but I am sure they are out there if you look. But china has ALOT of them out there, there prices are somewhat high IMO though, that is the weird thing about it... Originally Posted by Vin DSL

As far as the LongHorn, No, it is not a freedom from choice plan, it is a plan for people that dont know linux, dont know server admin, that dont know what the hell there doing, or in mycase with my personal web site, dont give a flying **** what is running in the backend as long as the pages display, I dont care if is a winblowz, redhad fressbsd or jags chosen centos. I dont care if they use cpanel, directadmin or interworx. if I did I would get a dedicated box or a VPS and choose what I WANTED..
instead I CHOOSE to let jag pick those things for me, but I have a CHOICE to pick the other plans and the other options even ever I CHOOSE to....

Of course choice is not a bad thing. I think Vin is responding to seeing a number of threads out here from people confused by the fact that they ordered a VPS and then got no control panel at all and is therefore pleading to install cPanel/WHM by default. However, I think he's overlooked that most of those people went for the cheapest plan and on that a control panel isn't included in the price and cPanel not even possible.
