    VPS Firewall activation problem

I was wondering if anyone could help.

I'm trying to activate the firewall module in Plesk but it keeps spitting out the following error:

Error: Could not activate firewall configuration:

    safeact: safeact: /usr/local/psa/var/modules/firewall/firewall-new.sh failed:
iptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

How do i go about fixing it?

    Thanks

I got the same problem too.

No matter I configure the firewall at the Power Panel or Root Shell. It claims missing module.

It seems that the hosting kernel did not load the required modules.
I have checked the VPS by command "lsmod", "modprobe", "iptables" ..etc. it all failed. That means we are not allowed to load or use it.

Any people here can share your exprience on firewall setting within VPS ?
    Thanks

iptables modules need to be enabled for the VPS as they are not enabled by default. Please open a support ticket to get them enabled for your VPS.

Can it be related with the fact that iptables can't be configured from Webmin 1.400 ?

It drops me an "Unable to open /etc/modprobe.d/arch/i386" error when I try to access it through Webmin > Networking > Linux Firewall

    Any ideas?
