I'm a new user on a semi-dedicated server. Support told me last week that this is a new server and there are only a few customers on it. I did a reverse DNS lookup and found that one of the customers is a very high trafficked website with an international account on it.
My logs/stats get updated at 2:30PM EST which is out of the question for a U.S. user to get delayed reports. Fourteen hours is too long from tuesday to wednesday. Currently, I have waited nearly 20 hours since the last run for yesterday and still haven't got my stats processed.
Further, my stats getting crunched at that time frame is ridiculous because that is in a time span where I get most of my traffic. This tells me that the other accounts are hogging the resources and that I was stuck on a server with a very high trafficked site when admin fully knowing that.
Now I am told by support in two cases that I would have to purchase a VPS or dedicated plan. I totally disagree. I been with many CPanel hosting companies the last 5 years. In every case my stats were available the next morning as well as the Update button enabled to allow me to press it to get the current stats.
Whats going on? Why can't I get my stats in real time and have the update button enabled like all my other previous hosting companies? And these were NOT semi-dedicated in any nature but rather more like shared hosting with tons of domains on them.
