    resource outage

    vps resource outage again.

    I don't know what to do. I'm a rookie.

I have been at this for days.

How to I accurately monitor my resources.

support says upgrade to dedicated. I cant do that!

I really cant believe my sites could use up my resources.

how can I be in the red on mem when it says 27% and I have a small
bar of red showing instead of green.

ALERTS ALWAYS THE privvmpages AND numproc. ,<-- I know what these mean.

My average processes running is around 50.
I do run a forum which will up the processes a bit.

WHEN i WATCH THE PROCESSES, THERE IS ONLY A COUPLE USING any recourses. Heck on the mem I bet the average is 0.5
there may be 5 that are using 0.1

    Please help and advise.

Have you followed the thread here on optimising your VPS?

If not its worth running through it and doing as much as you can, it is fairly straightforward, next you say you are running a forum, what type of software are you using.

I know a number of people have had problems with PHPBB and I personally am running a VBulletin forum, as well as a number of Coppermine galleries and a business developement site for a friend on my VPS without problems.

If you can give us some more information, such as the software you run, the number of users online at any given time, the VPS package you run etc, we might be able to offer some more help and information.
