Hey All,
Need some help and advice here please. I am running Gallery2 on a VPS. Now if I run the gallery using GD image library I don't get any QOS errors in Virtuzzo. However any image file over 2mbish, or over the 2000x2000 pixels fails. If I switch over and make the gallery use ImageMagick every thing works fine, images that are 4mb and 3500x3500 work fine. However, I receive an SHMPAGES error when using the gallery. This usually happens when I upload a new photo to the gallery and it needs to create the thumbnails. In GD i don't get the SHMPAGES error, but 1 in 10 photos stuff up. So I would like to use ImageMagick but not happy about the QOS alerts.
Now I was under the impression ImageMagick was less resource intensive then GD.
SHMPAGES definition according to Virtuzzo is: The total size of shared memory (including IPC, shared anonymous mappings and tmpfs objects) allocated by the processes of a particular VPS, in pages.
Any advice on how to fix this at the server level is appreciated.
Regards,
Joel
