Question I'm totally new and totally lost

This is embarrassing, but I'm switching from shared hosting on my old host and I'm having troubles setting things up here.

My only problem right now is I can't figure out how to actually view my site!

I can get to the control panels using my ip address, but nothing shows up using my domain name.

At first I changed the nameservers at NameCheap to the nameservers in my welcome email, but nothing happened with that. Then I realized that I should set up an account on my VPS for my domain name (www.13rings.net), so I did that, and still nothing.

NameCheap is pretty fast updating domains so it should have propagated by now.

    What am I doing wrong?

I'd actually like to use my own private nameservers, but I would need a very basic, step-by-step explanation on how to do this.

Thank you SO much for your help!

    Chani

Any resemblance between these views and my own are non-deterministic. The existence of Vin DSL is questionable. The existence of views in the absence of anyone to hold them is problematic. Thanks! I submitted a ticket. How is JPC Support about answering questions this late on a Friday night?

Yup, I created that domain today. But like I said, NameCheap is REALLY fast in getting domains to propagate, at least as far as my location goes. I've been up in minutes in the past.

I have about 15 other domains on my *other* host that I'll be moving over here, but I'd like my main domain to resolve here before I do that.

I'm hosting several friends' sites, and I'd like a little more control, so I went with the Freedom plan. I'd also like dedicated IPs for a couple of my sites, so I'll be purchasing additional IPs, too.

So far, other than not being able to view my site using my domain name, I'm really happy with JPC!

What's the difference between submiting a ticket and contacting Tech Support? Is there another way to contact them other than submitting a ticket?

    Thanks.

Sales isnt 24/7 but support is. no reason you shouldnt get great support on weekends. To contact support , all you need to do is submit a ticket. Make sure you select a category that will land your ticket in support not sales, otherwise you may get a delayed response. We do have sales on the weekends but its a skeleton crew.
