Unhappy Persistent interruptions during streaming on my VPS

Hey all. I'm a new client for JaguarPC, trying to migrate a server here that I had through a different site (because it was unreliable at times). I have to say, I like everything here better pretty much, except for one thing that's driving me nuts and may cause me to cancel my account if I can't find some resolution.

Here's the thing. I have an Apollo VPS, and I'm running an MP3 streaming PHP script, kPlaylist ( http://www.kplaylist.net/ ), and a Shoutcast server which gets songs from kPlaylist's song database. Problem is, both routinely suffer a skip every 15 min. or so on average during streaming (although incidents can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as two hours apart). This drives me and my users crazy, of course, and is bad enough that I can't really stay with this VPS if the problem persists.

Weird thing is, I have a Fedora/cPanel setup here, which is the same as the old server I was running. The script and my .ini files all have the same settings as well, so the setups are virtually identical except the underlying PC. I checked UNIX command "top" to see if I was using too many resources here, but I'm using far *less* CPU and memory on the VPS here. And I only have a few users, so my bandwidth is nowhere near being maxed out.

But on the old server, it would routinely serve songs from both kPlaylist and the Shoutcast server uninterrupted for 8 hours or more. So why is this almost-identical setup having these problems? I've tried tweaking the individual config files for both programs, and my php.ini and httpd.conf, to no avail.

Can any of you provide any other troubleshooting suggestions? I really like this place in all other respects, and would hate to go back to my old unreliable server over this single issue. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

lenocinor, you might want to post this question into the help section of the forum or ask a mod to move this thread there.
    You will get more help.

Unfortunatly I can't give you any ideas though.
