    Email not working

    Hello,

Jaguar put a huge load on my VPS yesterday by restoring somebody else's' VPS... since then I have not received any new mail.

I normally get about 95 emails a day, and I have received 0 in the last 26 hours.

I've had support tickets open since last night and the tech support people don't seem to know anything about the mail system... don't they have to deal with the mail system all the time?

I've tried restarting every mail Daemon I have and still nothing.
The only thing I get is when I try to restart Postgrey I get an error... so I stopped Postgrey.

Also when I try and reboot the server, it doesn't come back up without me opening a support ticket and having a tech person help.

If you're using cPanel ask support to disable the default mail pop3 daemon that virtuozzo runs, so that cPanel's pop3 daemon is the only one running and your mail should flood in. I've had this issue in the past on almost every one of my cPanel VPS's.

If you have an open ticket, please pm me the ticket number so that I can take a look at it.

    Thanks Smith.
After contacting a few people from JaguarPC, Robert took over the ticket and was able to figure out the problem.
It turns out, when mail logs get to 2 GB, Mail won't work anymore... so we cleared the logs, restarted the server and now things appear to be running fine.

(Good grief, I didn't know we could rack up 2GB of mail logs after only 6months)

It was really frustrating to have Nelson (who has done a great job with Tech support for us in the past) not know how the linux/Debian mail system works... so all I got for an entire day was requests for more info that wasn't even helping.

But it's all working now... and I can finally get some work done.

    Thanks
    Francis
