JAG and SPAM

Ever since I moved to JAG with my own VPS, my clients are getting hundreds and hundreds of emails a day that are marked "spam" by Spam Assassin. It is good, of course, that they are being correctly marked by Spam Assassin, but the server that I moved the accounts FROM was only getting a minimal amount of spam (10 to 20) compared to what we are getting now.
The domain names, email addresses etc... are all the same as what we used at the other server.
I can't see how it would occur just because we moved to another server.
Does anyone have any ideas why we are receiving so much more spam now that we have moved to JAG?

JPC doesn't delete or reject any mail that comes in. Other hosts may be rejecting mail from sites that are listed on blacklists or automatically deleting anything with a very high score. JPC prefers to let the end user have final say in what mail he wants to look at.

Would you recommend that I set Spam Assassin to delete suspected spam BEFORE it arrives at email accounts?
Do you do this?

Spam is up big time FOR EVERYONE thanks to a Russian hacker group using a 70,000 strong botnet to send spam. They can generate as much as 1 billion messages a day!
