    Restore full backup?

    Hi all

I have made a complete backup on my site and left the file sitting on the server in the default where it normally creates them using the cpanel backup.

In my WHM, it says that it can restore the file yet when I try to restore it, it says it's not in the directory it should be in. Ok, where do I need to move it and how do I move it there?

    Thanks
I just need it for future referance.

    The manual says...

Make sure the backup file is located on the server in
    /home,/usr/home,/web,/home2,/home3,/root, or /usr

Exactly, my question is how do I get it there? When I make a backup,it's not deposited there to begin with.

    In SSH:

    Code:
    cp yourbackupfile.tar.gz /home

Have you tried moving the file from the site home/ directory into the actual root home/ directory in virtuozzo, it should then recognise the cpanel backup file.

If you created the backup from cpanel (user end) then the backup would be placed in /home/user/

WHM can not find the file from there nor can re-create the "user".

The backup file should be placed in /home/

Also to recreate the account "user" from backup file, you may need to terminate it first. Before you terminate that account, make sure the backup file is good. One way to do that is download it via ftp and opening the file in winrar or other unzip utility that can open .tar.gz OR you can extract the file somewhere on the server via ssh and see if it is good i.e. has all the files etc.
