    which one is better for cPanel/WHM updates ?

    Automatic (STABLE tree)

    Manual Updates Only (STABLE tree)
    Manual Updates Only (RELEASE tree)
    Manual Updates Only (CURRENT tree)
    Manual Updates Only (bleeding EDGE tree)
    Never Update

    Go for Manual Updates Only (STABLE tree) or even
    Automatic (STABLE tree) if you hardly ever login to the server.

    Updates Automatic or Manual Updates ?

    Automatic if you are not following your OS updates regularly through some other channels like forums/mailing lists/announcements.

    If you can call yourself a unix sysadmin, then keep it manual and update them manually when there is really a need of update.
