What are your opinions on ASSP spam filter?

Is anyone using ASSP (Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy Server) for a spam filter?
If so, what do you think about it?

If I just purchased a fresh VPS with a clean Exim install I would most definately look into ASSP. Suposedly it uses far less resourses than Spammassassin does.

Install this a couple of days ago. It has all but eliminated spam on my domain! I was constantly fighting with spam assassin and I was still getting a bunch of spam.

So far I am very happy with Assp and the cpanel deluxe script.

Sure you can. It is like any other program you can get free from the internet. But we do not provide support for it: because we neither develop nor sell it to you.

i wanted to get this but you can only pay by PayPal which isn't good as they don't like my card. Apparently they are going to add 2co soon as well - September i think

I currently use this with great results. There are some things that sneak in, but it is usually because assp fixes them and then the spammers go around it.

it is an ongoing battle that no one will ever win, but assp sure helps a ton!

Danio - how has this been working with cPanel/WHM 11?

I have had no issued with it on cPanel 11... the cpu utilization is really low and if it gets a little quirky, it restarts itself (or is that my monitoring tool?) and keeps on ticking.

Real spam in my personal inbox (on with my customers) has been eliminated up to 99%
