Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs

    Hello,
I just signed up my vpn account and am migrating my sites over.

If I attempt to add a domain to cpanel and the domain is not already pointing at THIS name server, then I cannot add it. It gives me an error that tells me to go to my registrar and point to this server. Once I change the name server to point here, then it will add.

I do not want to change the DNS until everything is migrated and configured to avoid downtime.

I want to do as I have always done (at all other providers) and:
    1. add a domain to the new server
    2. copy contents of domain from the current server to the new server.
    3. point the domain's same server from the old name server to the new name server.
    4. keep content on old server until propegation.
This is what makes sense to avoid downtime.

If I cannot create a domain in cpanel until it is already is pointing to it, this means it forces me to be down when I do not have to.

Is there a way to bypass this?

    Thanks much in advance.

Maybe you could point it to this nameserver for a few minutes while you add the domain?
    But if you're just parking...?

If you're trynig to "multi-host" or "add-on" a full domain, perhaps you could create a subdomain, fill it with your content, THEN multi-host it, which will point the new domain to your subdomain.

So if you main domain is foo.com
    cerate sub23.foo.com subdomain
fill it with content (filepath is /home/youraccount/www/sub23/, temp web addy is foo.com/sub23 or sub23.foo.com)
    multihost bar.com -> sub23.foo.com

Now www.bar.com is the same as sub23.foo.com and foo.com/sub23
    Good luck

    Thanks much for your response.

It appears that even though that error occurs, the domain is still added.

if your adding it in WHM, it will add, if your tring to use the Multi-host Feature of Cpanel it WILL NOT add, if it did, chances are you will have some functionality problem because it should not have added at all

Yes, the ancient is correct - add your accounts with WHM on your VPS! I add new accounts without pointing to my nameservers and it works fine from WHM.
