Package glibc-dummy-centos-3 needs glibc-common = 2.3.2-95.30, this is not available.
Is this okay to ignor? If not anyone know the solution?

    Found two solutions via google:

    1.
For those VPS users who ran into the same error here is the solution:

Remove the dummy file from SWSoft:
E.g. via yum with the line "yum erase glibc-dummy-centos-3"
    2.
Just run "rpm -e glibc-dummy-centos-3" and it will work.
I still be a newbie with Centos.... which solution should I use?

    Masood ? or .....

I have tried this on a test vps and it works fine. However I am not 100% sure of the impact of this with reference to Virtuozzo. I believe the dummy glibc is to save space on your vps and use the libraries off Virtuozzo system.

There are two ways to this AFAIK. You can either add glibc* in yum ignore list (in /etc/yum.conf) or do "rpm -e glibc-dummy-centos-3" and "yum upgrade" to install a real one.

I'll say add it to exclude line in /etc/yum.conf file

    Thanks for the reply Masood,

I added it to the [main] exclude= section in /etc/yum.comf

We shall see what happens tonight when the update runs. I will report back.
