Its my understanding that you can't without a Wildcard SSL which is more expensive, but allows you to set up subdomains of a main domain. Normally when you buy a SSL you have to specify the full domain (i.e. www.domain.com) and then you have to reference it completely. With a wildcard ssl you can have multiple ones under the same certificate.

I don't know about the install and the configuration of it.

    It basically works like this:

Under cPanel, you can access accounts through http://anydomain.com/~username/ (don't forget that trailing slash, otherwise it won't work). The same goes for https (SSL). Note that this only works if this setting isn't disallowed by mod_userdir, which you can find under Tweak Security in WHM. All you have to do is to setup an SSL certificate for your domain, then other accounts can also use it the way I described.

As for https://username.domain.com - that would be a more complicated and more expensive setup. Firstly, as LubTex already pointed out, you would require a wildcard certificate for *.domain.com, and a wildcard certificate typically costs about 10 times as much as a regular certificate. Furthermore you would have to make some DNS changes so that the username.domain.com part would get directed to the right username.

The last setup does look nicer, but it's more expensive and harder to setup.

    Red face

    Thanks, Andre and Lubtex,
I didn't know anything about that (wildcard)!

    Best regards,
    Ricardo.

No problem. If you need a SSL certificate (either a regular certificate or wildcard), feel free to ask our sales department about it, we can provide you these certificates at a good price.
