    Subdomain Directory Structure?

I have just started using cpanel and have noted that my domain name points to my public_html folder and that any subdomains point to sub folders in the public_html.

This is a tad messy as it means that I have a bunch of subdomain folders mixed in with the script folders for my www site.

I would like www.mydomain.com & mydomain.com to point to another subfolder in public_html so as to keep the scripts to themselves.

I was just going to create a www subfolder and do a mod_rewrite but I thought I would ask first if there was a more elegeant way to do this via cpanel.

    Any Ideas

After a small amount of reconsideration I realised that it would be neater to separate my individual sites into separate cpanel accounts.
Simple enough answer .. I'm was just stuck in a "shared hosting - single account" mindset

Personaly I like to lay thing out as Plesk does and thats the main www traffic in a directory such as "/www/public_html" and all the subdomain traffic in the folder "/www/sub_domains/foo/public_html" where foo is the subdomain.

Much cleaner than "/www/public_html/foo/" but that is just me.
