What type of errors do you receive helmishariff? Do you get a pop up named secuirty alert? If so this isnt an error as such it is simply the ssl cert isnt properly valid, however, it still is 128 bit secured. Just hit yes. If the error message isnt this, could you please provide the exact text to the error message? It might also be a good idea to set up WHM/cPanel to use secure connections all the time, so when you go to mydomain.com/whm it automatically redirects you to the https:// one.

To do this, login to whm -> Server Configuration -> Tweak settings. Scroll down to system and tick the box labelled "Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc."

Now, everytime you visit http://mysite.com/whm it will redirect you to https://mysite.com/whm (no need to worry about secure connections )
