    IS there an advantage

I am new to reseller and have used it now for a few months to build a hosting business that hopefully will lead to a fast and smooth running dedicated server at some time in the future (when the income can justify the outgo). Right now I only have around 38 accounts (28 on my reseller with Jag - and the others on a large shared space with Hostgator).

I am however starting to get a few requests from a little heavier a users (using 1 to 2 gig of actual disk space and between 500 to 1000 and more unique visitors a day) to host on my reseller account.

    < MY QUESTION IS

Is there a REAL advantage to using a VPS account for hosting all of these accounts - over the Reseller plan that I now have (I have the biggest one). Or should I just wait until I can make the move to Dedicated?

I know that I have access to the root level with VSP and am not sure that that is something that will benefit me. File sizes and bandwidth aside - - - can the VPS handle more cpu processing requests than the Reseller plan - or are they the same. Is a dedicated server going to be the only way that I see any significant difference.

I just noticed the 15% special and figured I'd take advantage of it - - - but only if there is a real and practical difference to me.

    Thanks

do a search as this subject has been discussed much around here. It all depends on how much RAM you have with the VPS. RAM is the weak link!
