new server, old stuff in it... !!

My new VPS server is.. well, brand new. What is interesting is that its full of old applications that some has manualy installed or tried to.

For example, my /usr/local/src, believe it or not, it contains:

First, you'll notice that users with id numbers "1000" and "1003" dont exist on the system, second you'll notice the dates ranging from 2003, 2004, etc up to 2007.

Now, looking at the above list, you'll see mplayer/mencoder/fonts/lame and other image/video/audio tools (flvtool is for Flash video, font-arial is for mplayer's gui).

I'm guessing that that my CentOS 4.4 on my server is just a mirror image that Jag uses to "startup" the server and that all of the above are leftovers from some project or other.

Anyone else noticed similar stuff/garbage in their server?

Yes, your vps is a clone of our stock cpanel that comes with php4 + php5 with ffmpeg modules.
