    Teamspeak Autostart Script

I am wondering if there is some type of script to start a program everytime my VPS restarts.

If I'm correct it would be a CRON job but do not quote me.

If someone can help me that would be great as I have never writed or modfied something like this.

    Thanks

    Maybe in /etc/rc3.d ?

I can't off much more than that pointer....and I'm not even sure that's the right spot.
    Good luck

    Never mind, I Googled this:
    Starting the daemon at boot-time:
we want to start the teamspeak server at boot and stop it on shutdown

    Hope that helps....
    Good luck

It worked but it didnt work.

There is a script to do autostart but that is not where it starts from.

When a VPS restarts where does it read the boot file from and where can I add the TS autostart into.

Some of the info you read there is specific to Ubuntu, the distribution it was written for. If your VPS is not setup as Debian (which is much like Ubuntu), it might well be different for you. What distribution do you have on your VPS, CentOS probably?

There's no place for startup scripts in the power panel?

Sorry I'm not much help here

Maybe go back to the /etc/rc3.d approach?

Or open a ticket and ask support?
    Good luck

The most common "startup" script is /etc/rc.local and thats where you should put any custom stuff you'd like to run when the server starts.

The /etc/rc.d/* and similar stuff are used for fully scripted services and scripts that allow you to use them via the "services" command (start/stop/status/restart/reload/etc).

For CentOS 5 atleast the main start | stop | restart scripts are in /etc/init.d

I have made a Team Speak 3 Installation guide for centOS at link below

Simple teamspeak 3 server install with autostart with centos 5 (5.x)
