What are you asking? Do you want to set up a server farm with servers in different data centers? This is doable, but it can be difficult to do with shared-type hosting plans if you have dynamic database-driven content that you need to keep in sync.

Some more detiails about what you want to do would be helpful.

With most typical setups the extra IPs are for receiving connections only. For example, with 20 IP addresses you could set up 20 different websites on that server and access each of them with only the IP address, however all outbound connections (such as email) would go out through the primary address (which is most likely the lowest one.

There are ways to change this and depending on your specific setup things may be different. Are you using a control panel on your server? If you are using cPanel then I know that the setup I just described will apply. I suspect that with most other control panels it will be the same.

After imlementing the above mentioned custom settings, could see that X-AntiAbuse headers and Message-ID still show the server hostname. Please let me know if there is any way we can overcome this.

Thumbs up Thank you so much

After the usual frustration other people experienced, I found this thread.

I could swear that I had made these changes a while ago. I'm guessing an update clobbered them.

So, I made the changes and lots of tests (necessary because I kept fumble-fingering things or forgetting bits) and now it works fine.

It's not fun having e-mails rejected by other servers (AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail for example) because they object to the greeting.

    Thank you.
    Cheers,
