Does anyone here know how to install chatspace program using windows 2003 server? I keep getting error message when install using jaguarpc window server. Error ...

    Installation chatspace program???

    Does anyone here know how to install chatspace program using windows 2003 server? I keep getting error message when install using jaguarpc window server. Error mesage is could not communicate to the network server, error 3. Please help me please.

    I don't think Jag allows any chat programs (I assume that's what "chatspace" is) on their servers. That could be why you're getting an error.

    I'm not sure that's true on a VPS or dedicated box.

    Well, a FAQ under Pre-Sales states that no IRC is allowed under any servers or plans. Maybe the script referred to above isn't IRC.

    That's a good point -- I didn't look chatspace up to see if it uses IRC.

    I seem to recall from several years ago that IRC uses way too much resources and/or bandwidth.

    I think it may have to do with running a background process and be a well known magnet for illegal activities, but I could be wrong on that too.
