I suggest you stay away from Intel for server use. AMD's floating point arithmetic is way faster than Intel's and on a server most things use floating points. Especially if you are on 64bits.

I *think* you can take the four standard configurations listed on the dedicated page to be just a hint of what's possible. I suggest you contact sales directly and tell them what you have in mind.

thisisit3: you can't compare those brands like that. If you're comparing specific (generations of) chips, please include which.

oh i'm not going to start an AMD vs Intel war. Just expressed my opinion that AMD is waaay better than Intel and since thats a fact we can move on to other things.

Everyone knows Intel Sucks.

Intel is for people that dont know better. AMD is far far far better.

Intel is only in the lead now because AMD refuses to lower is stardards and push a chip to market before it is the best it can be. Once the new AMD line comes out, Intel will be back once again behind AMD where it belongs

We do have some older Intel P3's and P4s available at discount prices. (Fresh Bargain bin dedicated servers from $50/mo)

If your wanting new Xeons I do not know of any plans to add them in the near future. You can email sales with specifics and we can see about a custom quote for you however.
