    Virtuozzo Kernel issue ?

    Sometimes (happened 4 times to me) my services just stop running. Dont know why. The services range from psa, httpd, named, sshd, xinetd, syslog to qmail, pretty much every basis services (not all at one time but normally after i wake up there are at least 4 stopped services).

    So i contacted the support and they told me there is issue with Virtuozzo kernel and it just kills processes in the VPS. Do you guys have this problem ?

    It happens when you use too many resources. Check your "/proc/user_beancounters" and look at the column "failcnt", if something is above zero then you are hitting one or more VPS limit.

    The default limits are very restrictive and you should ask support to raise them for you.

    Uhm ... in the column failcnt there is always zero

    Or maybe it was reset ?

    I don't check the log often, but whenever i see the system res report in plesk or with your vmem program it's always 130-160Mb what is below my guaranteed ram.

    hmm, i can only guess what happened since i'm not running plesk on any of my systems.

    maybe you could check your uptime ("uptime" command in the shell) and see if the server was recently restarted.

    uptime in ssh show me 11 days exactly when my VPS first started when i signed up with JPC.

    Although the uptime in plesk show 11% 1 day(s) 10:24 which i suppose to be psa uptime. That was from yesterday when i got psa stopped running and must restart it.

    Luckily today only qmail didnt work

    I having the same problem. I cant even make it work after restart the vps. hopefully they will fix the problem soon

    I did open a support ticket JPC-Veena!

    And this what they said "We are in contact with SwSoft in this issue because Virtuozzo kernel is killing the processes and this is
    causing a problem to some other clients as well.Due to this issue it appears that your vps was in mounted state. "

    I would like to know the update of this process.

    Yes, we are still in touch with swsoft about this issue. However we have tried couple of fixes they suggested so far and they seem to be working unless your vps is also having other unrelated resource usage issues. Please just update the ticket and refer to this thread or give your ticket number here and I can check and apply the fix for your vps if not already done.

    The issue is still there guyz. Please update this thread when the problem solve. My sites are down at least twice a day
