So, centos comes with vsftpd. I've set it up for virtual users. It's a bit clunky, but it works. However, I also need to support local user ftp. I haven't googled anything so far that shows how to do that. It's either "I tried this and it didn't work" or "how do I do this?". I did find one page that said that wasn't working in vsftpd, but I don't know how old the information was. Is this still the case? It really seems to be a crippled feature-poor ftp server. Should I dump it in favor of something else?
