I dunno, but anything I see that contains temp, tmp, bak, bkspu, et cetera, is killed on sight!

lol i was thinking the same thing but thought i might ask others as i cant workout why it is there... my temp as far as i know is located in /var/tmp/
so anyhow i will prob delete it and see what happenes lo, i did rename it for a bit and couldnt see anything that was affacted by it
Google says it has to do with hardening your /tmp. Look at the securetmp script for answers, it's said to create that folder.

im still a tad confused but im sure i will get there lol
VPS systems are created from a pre-made image. That image contains lots of "stale" directories and files.
I've done a search for files dated in 2006 and deleted most of them.
This is created by cpanel to secure tmp folder.
