    Setting up a secure tunnel

I have a vps and I would like to set up a secure tunnel to be able to access some websites that are blocked in my country. I live in the middle east and they block alot here.

Anyways, I have a VPS running CentOS, Is it possible to run a secure tunnel on it.

Im not very experienced on this so I would appreciate your help.

PS. I read alot of guides but nothing addresses my specific issue, They're mostly about setting up openSSH server at home and using a client like PuTTY ..

I would like to mainly use it to surf the web, without restrictions.

    Thanks

    How about wrapping these sites?

For instance, I could wrap JagPC Forums into a frame on my site...

    EDIT

    As an example: http://joomla.lenon.com/jaguarpc-for...on=com_wrapper

Erm ... iframe source would still be blocked.

Is using squid as a cache-proxy against the TOS as well? What if I wrote a script that did really basic web caching using wget, or file_get_contents or similar?

Is it with in the rules to use a secure tunnel for POP and/or SMTP?

Actually, is this even possible with the current technology?

There are tools out there, like Bitvise Tunnelier that use an ssh connection to create dynamic port forwarding and emulates a proxy. Though I guess as masood stated, its against the TOS to do this. You shouldn't need to set up an openssh server at all, ssh is (i think) installed by default on the jag vps servers.
    Hackers anybody?

    re: ssh

A bit off topic...I use this neat SSH / pretty much every other popular protocol connector. It's got a great GUI, and its free!
