See Emergeny maintenance of VZ Nodes: Aura & Castor

Looks like the techs have their hands a bit full right now.

    Good luck!

    dayo,
recently JaguarPc updated the passwords for all their clients to new randomly generated ones which change again after a certain time period. To access your client area you need to re-set your password.

Im also getting rather confused with your post. The title and the post content are completely different. Are you saying you cannot log into the Plesk Control Panel on your vps / dedicated server or do you mean the JPC Client area.

I can't log into either the control panel or the cient area.

How can I reset the password if I can't log in to client area?

    OK Sorted now.

Can now login to plesk and I have used the lost password thing after reading the service announcement about changed passwords.

    Cheers.

Indeed, it's a long downtime. Over 18 hours again, similar to Castor's downtime early september. I hope it's not a recurring thing.

Good news is that I managed to login. I was using the old password

18.5 hours but what can ya do besides expensive mirroring with multiple servers. I know it frustrates JPC as much as us when servers go haywire - as Castor has this and last month.

I've been following this thread and the downtime of Castor for some time now, i'm worried when my server will go down again (i've got several hosting plans with jag).

As you can see in my signature i've implemented my own backup solution but that won't help when the server is down for 12 hours, it only helps afterwards when i restore to the latest daily backup.

I've already discussed this with others and the only solution is a mirror server, for example two dedicated or VPS servers, one acts as the primary system (and may have more resources) while the other acts as a mirror/backup server (which may have less resources).

Once the primary server goes down, all traffic is directed to the backup server automatically.

I'm willing to pay for this kind of service (extra server+redirection method). I guess i can ask Jag to look for such a solution and let us know of the costs.

    PS:
it may not be as easy as it sounds, because the backup server will have to be able to run as a primary with hostname lookups, IP addresses, databases and other such things working smoothly.

I am very interested in this a a service too.... Should we start a new thread on this Thisiit3?

Today was the worst possible day for this service to go down. I had a very important activity going on on one of my sites today. I am going to have to get a new hosting plan if this is not fixed by 4pm.....

I am mad as a hornet and trying hard to bite my tongue.
