chown -R username:username (directory used above) help

Im trying to install clientexec via the support page.

one of the steps is to: chown -R username:username (directory used above)

    the directory name is: clients.

    so i used: chown -R username:username clients

that gave me an error of: "invalid username password"

so i did: chown -R myidforthedomainasswordforit clients

that gave me an error of: "invalid group"

    any ideas?

    re

The installation instructions were based off cpanel

if your user name is jake

    then its chown -R jake:jake (install_directory)

On Plesk there chown command is different:

    chwon -R jake:psaadm (install_directory)
