vps down 12 hours and counting

Is there any management at all who reads these forums or even a competant tech person.

My server has been down for over 12 hours.
First I was told I needed to buy more ram memory.

Then the problem was "It was kernel related problem that has been fixed now."

    Nothing is fixed.

I can't access my VPS control panel.
I can't access any of my site control panels.
I can't access WHM using the IP address.
Nothing is working, no sites are available and yet I'm told the server is working.

    This is unacceptable.

There has supposedly been techs working on this since 9pm last night but I keep getting canned responses and no solution.

I did check the entire ticket and you have been told the truth, your vps was indeed hitting RAM limits, but to figure out what is causing it, you need to monitor it, techs monitored for couple of hours and it did not happen at the time. But it happened again and its possible your vps is either compromised or corrupted and techs are getting the vz developers swsoft involved in checking your vps. Please be patient and follow the ticket.

I believe I have been very patient.
I am being told that somehow, after taking half of the sites I had on another server with the same specs as the JagPC server, the sites are suddenly using enough load to cause a corruption of the server, OR maybe one of the passwords on the site suddenly because insecure after moving to the JagPC server.

Somehow all of this has caused what seems like an irreparable kernal problem.

I find this a little hard to swallow.

Are you saying you were on a vps before with less resources? You can not compare a dedicated/shared server with a vps. VPS is a virtual system with limited resources as per the vps plans. So 12GB of the server will do you no good if you have been using 2GB on a shared server and now you are on a 256 or 512MB plan.

And thank you for being patient while the issue is being worked on.

That is exactly what I am saying.
These sites as well as about 12 others were working on a VPS with 256mb guaranteed ram burstable to 1024mb. Total downtime over the last 3 years? Negligible. (Less downtime in fact than the 2 weeks I've had my server with JagPC.)
The VPS I have with you has guaranteed 384MB ram burstable to 1024mb.

Good to know. Now you need to figure out what has changed with your sites/domains that has made them resource hungry. May be one of your domain is receiving too much spam (even one domain can take down your entire vps). May be one of the scripts needs optimization with php/mysql (are you still using 3 year old code?). May be one of the site traffic has increased and gone above a threshold. May be you are using some exploitable old code that is being abused remotely by hackers. There are endless possibilities.

This was a straight transfer of sites from one server to another.
The only difference is that Spamcop is enabled server wide on the JagPC server.

If spamcop is using these kinds of resources then it doesn't seem to me like a very good idea to even have it as default option.

It is a vps and you can configure it anyway you like.

Yes, I'm well aware of that.
What it is, is a VPS that has NOW been down now for 16 hours.
I would think you would be more concerned with this issue.

Can you please provide a download link for a backup to this server.
I am tired of these trite responses and will be moving back to the other server where they seem to be able to deal with these issues.

There is no "download link" for backup.

    Thank you very much.

You cannot get my server online and you cannot provide a backup.
    What wonderful service.

I will contact billing regarding a refund.
