I've had a recurring problem sending emails from my vps. There is no client account I have that can send emails using their webmail account . Emails to accounts I have at yahoo, gmail, and fastmail, k12.lumpkinschools.com, aol all say " ... failed: Connection, refused". Mail sent to my email account at bellsouth.net bounces with a failed address.
I've been working with support on this issue since yesterday and they say there is no problem and that yahoo, gmail, and fastmail etc all probably think my sites are spammers. They have not provided an answer as to why mail sent to bellsouth.com bounces.
Every one of my sites is totally monitored by me and I doubt if any one of them has sent more than 25 emails as most clients use their own ISP's smtp. So I can't see how spam is an issue.
I'm not sure where to go or what to do about this at this point. I know from nothing regarding exim and/or iptables so any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
