    Nameservers!

    Hi,

Some people have told me they have issues connecting to one of my add-on websites, the error they get is DNS related.

In my WH Manager I see three Nameservers related to IPS. It looks something like this...

    69.44.150.214 ns1.mydomain.com
    69.44.150.215 NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM
    69.44.150.216 NS2.MYDOMAIN.COM

There are two different IPs associated with ns1.mydomain.com, one is lower case one is upper case. Could this be causing the problem? How do I fix this?

    Thanks.

    Yup, that's rather wrong.

The "standard" way of using your 3 IPs is:

69.xx.xxx.214 The shared IP for your domains - Nothing to do with nameservers.
    69.xx.xxx.215 NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM
    69.xx.xxx.216 NS2.MYDOMAIN.COM

You need to zap that first entry, and also check at the registry for your MYDOMAIN.COM that the 2 nameservers are registered there as:

    69.xx.xxx.215 NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM
    69.xx.xxx.216 NS2.MYDOMAIN.COM

Then you should be good to go
