interesting fact about spam

I noticed that once i ban the first 800 to 1000 IP addresses via BFD (the exim plugin to be specific) then 80% of spam is blocked right away. Most of these IP addresses are in Spamcop and spamhaus/zen.

So what i've done, is keep them all in a file and re-ban then in case i reboot my servers (i don't allow iptables to save its state, for now).

It saves me from tons of spam and from overloading spamassassin and exim.
