    Angry my server is hijacked

Bascially I get an email stating

'We have received some abuse reports regarding your server. We are emailing them to your email addresses on file. Please contact us via this ticket system and follow up in this ticket. Failure to respond can result in termination of service.
    '

after multiple replies the last thing the tech support guy stated was that the server cant hold out for a couple more hours.

I replied asking for assistance with help me backup the sites/clients, this was over an hour ago.

So now after they have scared me to death, and that my server will go down in a matter or hours, I cant get a reply. what the hell is going on. the time is now 0121 hours here in the uk.

from a not very happy customer.

What server are you talking about? I notice you posted this in the Shared/SDX forum so I am assuming it is one of those. I do not see any down servers on the network status page at all... Also, why have you put 4 years into something and not backed it up to your own personal computer? No offense, but if I spent 4 years on a project, I would want that thing as close to me as it could get and I would be making at least weekly backups of my own.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.

My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.

Sorry! That's what they call collateral damage...

It's happened to me before, when my web site[s] were bringing down servers here!

The term 'collateral damage' has also been borrowed by the computing community to refer to the denial of service to legitimate users when administrators take blanket preventative measures against some individuals who are abusing systems. For example, Realtime Blackhole Lists used to combat email spam generally block ranges of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses rather than individual IPs associated with spam, and can deny legitimate users within those ranges the ability to send email to some domains.
Are you claiming your web site[s] weren't causing problems?
