The node is NOT DEAD at this time. Please be patient while the techs perform file system check on the disk.

erm, because i can't access anything, not even the virtuozzo panel.

can't even ping the ip of hardware node, thats why it seemed to me like the entire thing is down.

File System Check is complete and the node is back online with all vps up and running.

My VPS is still not working. Ping to main IP doesn't respond and none of my sites are loading. I have a ticket open, but "Robert" states that everything is back up and running fine. I gave him my IP and root password to check... Why would my site not even reply to a ping request now that the site is back?

Robert will let you know after checking the issue in your support ticket.

I've had to update the ticket to find out what the status is as the only response from him thus far is that the server is running properly, and that the server status page is showing all services running - which it's not - it's only showing SSH as green and the others aren't even listed.

And with all due respect, I have had repetitive problems with lower level technicians in the past where I had to diagnose my own problems and explain problems that were incorrectly diagnosed, as well as constantly ask to have tickets escalated due to problems that couldn't be properly resolved, only to have my requests denied.

So when a server is reported as being fixed and fully functional once again, and my sites remain dead, and I'm told all is fine, and then asked to wait, I get a little taken back at times as of late.

Less than 2 hours to run fsck, eh? I demand you take the hardware node down for 20 hours out of fairness to Draco users.

That's all you'll ever see for a VPS hardware node.

Have you tried to connect to your VPS again. I noticed that you first reported it as still being down less than 20 minutes after the hardware node came up. It does take awhile for all the VPSes to come up after the hardware node has started.

It's back up now. It was reported to be over the 15gig disk space allotted. I'm still confused as to what "isn't" being shown in the disk space used reports when you "list all accounts" - as when I add up the disk space used it's about 10gig, but under the disk space used screen it was showing 15gig. Also odd that it would suddenly go over the disk space allotted at the same time the server went down.

I take it "list all accounts" doesn't include the OS, which would be some several gigs-worth.

Are you sure your full disk use yesterday was < 10G.

If there is indeed a correlation between sudden increase in disk usage and sudden node failure, I would start looking into which of those accounts had caused the increased usage and what they had recently been up to.

All the accounts are the same today as they were yesterday. While the disk space showed 10gig yesterday, that was from the list all accounts screen, which apparently doesn't include everything.
