    Hey Rob...

I have experimented with this before on my cPanel VPS and let me tell you...

Apache 2.2 was a NIGHTMARE! Upon compiling it, it caused my entire httpd.conf file to become hosed...

    Apache 2 worked great!

If you are talking about upgrading from 1.3.x to 2.x then I would do Apache 2 and not 2.2

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.

My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.
