Hey Guys... Just curious... is it possible to now have Spamassassin installed? I just noticed when setting up mail on one of my domains that ...

    Missing Spamassassin

    Hey Guys...

    Just curious... is it possible to now have Spamassassin installed? I just noticed when setting up mail on one of my domains that is not using GoogleApps that I have no option in cPanel (ver. 11 x3 skin) to enable spammassassin.

    I checked in WHM's feature manager and the feature set that account is using has Spamassassin checked as being available... I also checked the the Exim config and it has spamassassin enabled... I am not sure why, but it appears to not even be installed on my VPS because I cannot enable it at all in any of my cPanels...

    I just noticed this now because I use GoogleApps for all my domains, but my latest... I have never had a need to administer Spamassassin so I am not sure if it has always been missing or not.

    Any ideas on what is up with my Spamassassin???

    Don't know about other panels but Spam Assasssin is costing me a very small but additional fee in my Plesk panel among a few other features that was added as pack. The icon for it was previously greyed out.

    I was going to attempt to install it myself but after reading a few posts here and elsewhere came to the conclusion that it doesn't appear that its easy to integrate with plesk, I'm sure it can be done but I don't have the expertise.

    In cPanel WHM to turn Spamassassin on you need to:

    1. In - Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings Check this box: SpamAssassin Spam Filter

    2. Then in - Main >> Service Configuration >> Service Manager Check both Enabled and Monitor boxes for the spamd service.

    Then tweak the settings as you need in the exim configuration section.

    It's all fixed now... See how long it takes me to find something else I need to tweak... seems like that is all I do is tweak tweak tweak
