    Why is the "cache" directory required in virtuozzo powered VPS?

    Where are you seeing the cache directory? Cache directories are usually used by web applications that you've installed to store copies of output (pages, generated images, etc.) that take a lot of processing power to create. The first time an item is requested it is stored in the cache then each subsequent request uses the existing copy in the cache instead of recreating it again.

    I don't see any kind of cache folder anywhere in VZ itself, so I'm guessing this is something that goes with one of the apps you've installed.
