My VPS is down :(

My VPS in Jaguar is down. Unable to make "ping".

Have you add any scripts to your VPS?

first, check the network status page to ensure there isn't a issue with the node (seerver) your VPS is running on. I am only seeing a couple of problems with one shared server right now, so if you are still having problems then it is probably not because your server is down.

Next, try running a traceroute as described here: http://www.jaguarpc.com/support/kbase/27.html. That will show you the path your computer is trying to take to reach the server and you'll be able to see exactly where the problem is occuring. If you don't understand the output you can post it here and we'll tell you what's going on.

Third, try to reach your site through a proxy service like MegaProxy. That will try to reach your site from an different network than that of your ISP. If it can reach your site then you know that the issue lies somewhere between your computer and JPC, but that it is likely outside of JPC's control.

Of course, if you find the problem is within JPC's control then open a support ticket. These forums are only for clients to help other clients, not for official support.
