Re guarding my ClentOS version....

In my WHM I see these lines in the top right corner...

WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.3-R21703
CENTOS Enterprise 4.6 i686 on virtuozzo - WHM X v3.1.0


Does this mean that the CENTOS version is 4.x or is the Centos 5 build named
CENTOS Enterprise 4.6 i686 ?

And should I even worry about not having the most up-to-date version of Centos....

Yes it means you are running CentOS 4.x and no that is not how 5.x is named. As long as they keep the kernel updated you should be fine security wise.
