    cPanel Core Account Creations

Quick question, not sure if anyone knows....

When creating a new account via WHM, I know that the root account has a "skeleton directory" and the reseller has a "skeleton directory", and both should get dumped in when the new account is created.

When I created an account on Friday via a reseller account, the account got the index.html and images directory from the reseller account, but also got the default "Front Page" directories (_vti_<blah blah blah>) but these files are not part of the "skeleton directory".

Any idea how these got created? They were created with the same timestamp as the cgi_bin, .htaccess, etc... core files.

    Thanks

You must have had Front page Extensions option checked when you created the account.

How will that impact the other FP settings if that gets changed to off in the API that goes over and creates the account, any idea?

What do you mean by "other FP settings"?

Well there are the controls the user gets in his/her cpanel

Then the are the options that I can set in WHM related to what they can get to.

Guess, in the end, not sure what needs to be set where... I give all users free FP, so??????

Front Page is pretty much obsolete. I have it off by default. If anyone needs it - it can be turned on for that account easily enough.

Then that means having to double all of the cpanel "packages", so I just leave it there and on.

Even I still use it for a couple of things, as the counter and some of the form stuff is already there on some of my personal sites, and I am too lazy to upgrade them
