    How to configure the DNS ?

    Hi guys,

    I just purchased a VPS package and received the welcome email, I'm not a n00b by any means in the hosting industry, but not an expert either so , anyway, the email contained 3 ip's and in the process of registering the DNS i can put two, ns1 and ns2, which which ones do I choose ? I chose the first two at the moment, and its working with no problems and my domain resolves nicely, I just thought to check If I did anything wrong so I don't encounter any issues in the future.

    Thanks a lot for your services, I remembered that I was customer a long time ago and retrieved my password here in the forums, I remember you were called aletia or something. Nevermind, Jaguar PC is the best and I always come back.

    Traditionally, the set-up would be:

    IP1 = Shared IP for your domains
    IP2 = Your NS1
    IP3 = Your NS2

    However, there's nothing really cast in stone to say you have to do it that way - If it's working nicely, leave well alone

    Since all three IPs resolve to the same box it doesn't really matter how you do it.

    Welcome (back) to JPC. (Aletia was a company that JPC bought out and merged into their operations a few years ago. I've always been a JPC customer myself, but there are still a bunch of former Aletia customers around here that you might recognize.) Enjoy your VPS.
