How long does it normally take to setup a new VPS order?

A friend of mine ordered it on friday and all he has gotten was an email saying that jaguarpc received our request for a cpanel update, charged cc 7 dollars and said we will be getting an email soon with the server details, but it's already been a day since the email and 5 days since we payed.

How long did the rest of you have to wait before your VPSs were set up?

Hear Hear! Aye Capitano. I've dealt with many a hosting company....And although its rude, I must admit that I feel a little disappointed.

I placed my VPS order Sunday night and I received my login Monday around 3pm.

    Question

I just placed my first order on jaguarpc.

It was 2 hours ago. The email said it took 'a few minutes' to set up the account.....

VPS orders take up to 24 hours to finish on week days. Weekend orders may take a little longer as we have less staff working the order queue. The quickest way to receive your new VPS login details is to place your order (be sure to match the OS with a compatible control panel), then log into the client area (once you receive your login details) and make sure all invoices have been paid, and a control panel is listed on your order.

If you have not made payment, or somehow a control panel was not chosen during checkout, we will contact you. This obviously will slow the build process. Also be sure to keep an eye on your email until your VPS is complete, in case we need to get ahold of you.

If you have not received your VPS login details after 24 hours, feel free to give us a call, start a live chat session, or send us an email. Any of us will be glad to assist you!

Definitely send in an email or contact us through live chat if your order is not set up within 24 hours and you have not received an email concerning the order. The order gremlins may have throw a wrench into the process.
