    Question Plesk, cPanel, or DirectAdmin?

We see clients switching between control panels all the time, and of course having to pay the $15 rebuild fee. I'm starting this thread, to help clients decide between which control panel they really want, based on feedback and your guys' experience.

What's your favorite for Linux; Plesk, cPanel, or DirectAdmin??

I don't use a control panel for my personal stuff. I do have experience using these control panels for various other stuff in the past and of course working with JaguarPC.

I would choose cPanel. I don't know why other than I just like the "feel" of it.

I have used Plesk and cPanel. I like cPanel better. I really like the current flavor of cPanel!

What about Interworx? That's my personal fave right now.

I use cPanel because its more standardized and allows me to customize it more.

I would NEVER use Plesk, thats the worst control panel i've ever seen, it messes with directories, changes home locations and creates its own path standards which are really messed up and aren't compatible with standard unix methods.

Virtualmin. Inexpensive, comprehensive, not resource intensive.

Almost acts as a hybrid between 1) no control panel in the number of options and its ability to play well with normal Linux distributions, and 2) ability to make those many adjustments with a responsive GUI interface. If you are the noobiest of the noobies, you probably won't like it. If you have just some minimal admin skills, you'll like it. If you are a full-on admin, you'll like it a lot more.

I run my personal server/vps without control panel and install everything from sources etc. with full control of all configs. No control panel is perfect, however if I have to choose, I'll go with cPanel for these reasons as compared to others (1) user friendly and customizable interface (2) gives a lot of room for admins to make changes to the system (3) feature rich (4) large community support (5) fast technical support (6) APIs and backend/shell scripts to automate stuff (7) documentation and open source nature of many of the sever level stuff

Some of these features are available in other control panels as well however its the overall combination of all of these that makes cPanel a winner for me

I've only ever worked with cPanel, so that is what gets my vote. It's easy to deal with.
