    VPS Very Slow Today

    My VPS plan is on dorado.nocdirect.com

    Today the pages to the site and images are loading EXTREMELY SLOW and earlier in the day I was unable to connect at all. Anyone else having these problems? Compared to yesterday and the days before even on my most busy day it loaded much faster. I even tried to reboot the vps and tried connecting to it right after but it had no affect on the speed at all. Im not running any scripts and I didnt change anything to the site since friday. Anyone else in the same boat? Im trying to get to the bottom of it.

    did support leave for the holidays? nobody is even replying to me. now im going to be stuck with a dead vps that nobody can even connect too. great.

    I noticed under that status page it said Primary Name Server maintenance ns.nocdirect.com. 07-03-2008, could this have done something to my server to make it soooooo slow? its just timing out now i cant even connect.

    This is not the avenue for official support. Did you open a ticket in the client area: https://secure.jaguarpc.com/clients/ ??

    Yes. Early today they replied

    "I have tried from couple of locations and using couple of proxy sites and site is loading fine from all locations. If you are facing any slowness then it might be because of some temporary network issue at your end. Please try bit later and see how it goes."

    But by later tonight the site become a lot worse. I didnt get a reply again. I think they are on vacation.

    Use a traceroute utility such as WinMTR to help see where the problem might be.

    Then if the problem is at JPC, you can copy the results into your ticket to help them.

    If you use WinMTR, be sure to set the delay to 5 seconds.
