    Interworx

First time VPS user, I had Interworx installed by support.

Before getting it installed I visited the Interworx site to see the features, one of the features was "Web Directory Management" which is located under the heading "SiteWorx" on the demo, but it isn't on my VPS.

Where do I find the "file manager"?

Interworx has two parts, NodeWorx and Sitworx. Both should be available. Nodeworx is the administrative back end to Interworx--it is where you create accounts, manage services, and do various other administrative operations. Siteworx is the account-owner's back end to their own account. It is where you set up email addresses and databases, check your logs, etc.

Before you can access Siteworx you'll need to set up an account in Nodeworx. To access nodeworx, go to http://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS/nodeworx or https://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS:2443/nodeworx (the former should redirect to the latter). From there, log in with the credentials provided by JPC.

Before you can create an account, I believe that you first need to set up at least one package. Click on "Siteworx" in the left-hand gray bar, then "Packages." Click "Add" and enter a package name and your desired limits. If you want you can simply check "unlimited" for everything (though I would set packages with specific limits for any accounts you plan to sell or give to other users).

Once you've created a package, you can add your first account. To do that, click on "Accounts" under the gray-bar Siteworx menu, followed by "Add Siteworx Account." At minimum you must enter a domain name, the email address of the site admin (which will be used as the Siteworx login) and a password (twice). Then choose a package from the "Package TEmplate" list, make any adjustments, and click the "Add" button.
Once the account is created, you can go to http://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS/siteworx (or, once it resolves, http://domain.com/siteworx) to log in. Enter the email address you used to create the account, the password, and the domain name in the fields provided (if you use the domain.com url, the domain name will be filled in automatically). Once you log in you'll be in Siteworx. You'll find a link to the file manager in the gray bar on the left side of the page.

When you are logged into Nodeworx you can access Siteworx for individual accounts without a separate login by using Siteworx > Accounts and clicking on the "Siteworx" link next to the account you want to access in the accounts list. To return to Nodewox click the logout link in Siteworx.

I've been running Interworx on a JPC VPS for about a year now and in that time I've done several interesting, obscure, and non-standard things with it, so I've gotten to know its inter-workings (no pun intended) pretty well. If you have other questions, feel free to ask.

Also, I should point out that the Interworx forums (http://www.interworx.com/forums) are a great resource for tips, tricks, and newbie help.

    Enjoy your VPS.
