    Is This Normal Procedure?

I ordered a VPS about 5 or so hours ago and received an email to confirm my order. The email told me that I would receive another email "in a moment" that would contain my login details etc. However, I have not receoved any more emails.

I spoke with a sales rep before ordering and I asked him what their usual response time was and he stated 30 minutes.
I sent an email about 3 hours ago and have gotten no response.

I haven't even received an invoice.

What's the usual time frame for this stuff?

A VPS has to be set up by sales. Sales is not 24/7 and not fully staffed on weekends. How long it takes to get set up will depend on how many of the sales staff are working and how many are ahead of you.

Sales is not available 24/7. You can find the timings of sales in the link below.

    However, support is available 24-7.

    I see.
So I gotta wait until a Sales rep is available to set up a VPS. Interesting.

I will give it until Lunch time, which is 7 hours from now, and then go shopping again.

    Maybe so.
Also my Business has no patience when it comes to investing.
My concern here, and I understand the setting up CAN take a few hours as I used to run a VPS and Dedicated Service, but what concerns me is if it is taking this long to login to HyperVM or OpenVZ and setup a cPanel VPS then how long does it take to answer support tickets?

Sorry if this sounds harsh but I have a business to think about too.

I've been with JaguarPC for 6 years now. Tech support here is just about as good as it gets anywhere. Most tickets are answered in minutes.

Sales has to set up your VPS, it's not an automated process, so it can take a while.
Once you're a customer, you're gonna love it.

Feel free to search around the forums for discussions on tech support. You'll find a couple of folks who were les than satisfied, but not many. As a moderator here on the forums (and a paying customer -- I get nothing in return for participating here) I can tell you that no threads are deleted here due to negative comments. They let it all hang out in the open.

If you stay, great! Welcome to a great community. If not, I wish you well and hope you find another great host.
    Good luck

9pm at night where you are dude may not be 9pm at night where I am.
Plus, as you would probably know, Online business such as Software Development and sales, has no opening or closing hours.

    Hi Eaglehawk IT,

In my experience quite a few companies do not have sales available on weekends.

Can you private message me your host name so we can get this setup for you?

I am not being impatient guys, come on. I have been in the hosting business long enough to know that patience is a virtue. However, taking almost 24 hours to setup a VPS that would normally take in average two hours, without any acknowledgment via email as to its process, regardless of me sending an email about 12 or 13 hours ago, is a little far fetched, regardless of the fact I was told the VPS would be ready in a few hours and that I would receive a second email in a few moments, which still has not arrived.

Plus, you guys are not helping the situation for the following reasons:

    1. You are not staff and are probably just having a good run with Jaguar, and kissing butt, which is why you are taking their guard
    2. You are forcing more towards the exit doors and losing JaguarPC another potential and reliable client.

    Not good practice.

    Hi Vin,

Please keep the discussion friendly, it's almost December

Eaglehawk IT's point is valid as JaguarPC does have a fair share of international customers. That said, we currently do not have our Sales department available 24/7 but if you think it is a feature that you want I suggest you create a thread in the Suggestions and Feedback forum.
