    VPS & ShoutCast problem

    Installing SHOUTcast

I did everything like it's written on topic above, and tried several times with variations of that, problem is next:

everything is installed with ssh root account on home/someuser/ than I tried to run ./sc_serv sc_serv.conf
    server runs:
    Code:
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/Linux v1.9.8 (Feb 28 2007) starting up...
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] pid: 25646
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] loaded config from sc_serv.conf
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] initializing (usermax:32 portbase:8000)...
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban)
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip)
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] opening source socket
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] source thread starting
    <02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] opening client socket
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [main] client main thread starting
<02/04/09@19:49:54> [source] listening for connection on port 8001
    <02/04/09@19:50:21> [sleeping] 0 listeners (0 unique)
but when I try to connect to http://ip(or-domain.tld):8000/ nothing appears even on port 8001

after that I chmod sc_serv to 0777 and chown everything inside /sc (shoutcast dir) and also dir fo "someuser (everything stored in /home/"someuser")

than enabled shell access to "someuser"; connected to vps with "someuser" and its pass and started sc_serv...(same as with that first few tries with root)
and also I got equal log

    and same problem

also cannot connect with winamp and login

    IP: 69.73.161.81
    user: jeftinho
    location: /home/jeftinho/sc/

can you enable that in virtuozzo?
    what should I do?

if you guys don't have time; no problem - I can pass by this, it's not important to me (jet )
    thx

Have you allowed the port numbers in your firewall?

I have shoutcast running fine on my VPS, but I DID need to allow the ports in my firewall first.
