For some reason, after several tickets about work on various stuff on my VPS by tech supoort, my VPS has the following defect: when it boots, it comes back online with the wrong main IP address!!!
Weird isn't it?
Since all the work was done by tech support, I assume they broke something by accident, but I am not sure what or how to fix it.
I know they messed it up because "ifconfig" shows that "venet0:0" and "venet0:5" have their IP addresses switched around.
As a result, cPanel dropped dead because it can't find a license for the main IP address that my VPS is running with at the moment.
I'd appreciate any ideas how to fix this.
PS:
support has no clue, the ticket is open for nearly 2 hours and
all it says is a bunch of "A customer service representative has begun working on this issue." one after the other.
